I don't have the knowledge to dive deep into the problem but it does not necessarily have to be a problem of comodo. The update (I didn't uninstall comodo before) runs well on my computer.
It may have to do with with Windows Update, as well. Don't you...

As soon as I removed the beta addresses from my hosts file, the problem was gone - was there a problem with the delivery of updates via Comodo's beta server?

Interestingly I had the problem this morning. CIS 11.0.0.6710 didn't start and the diagnostic tool could not find/fix any errors (Windows 10 17663.104)
I've not had Avast on the system, and I did the update to 17663.104 last week with CIS 11.0.0.6710 ...

Looks like it was fixed around 0700 EDT this morning. Lost access to a couple of weeks of quarantine and archive email unless they are able to restore that. Will keep an eye on it. Eyeballing alternatives.

As been said many times before, CIS will always create script files out of anything that tries to execute commands passed to certain applications, those applications being set to having embedded-code detection enabled.

The third day does not pass diagnostics, although the installation is done on a clean system W10 x64 Pro 1803 17134.345. Two times I did the reinstallation, it did not help.

Knock on wood , but this release installed well on my machine. after the a few restarts , cis does start up normally , the way it is suposed to.
